Aboard the Titanic, Ripley will believe that she is a woman named Sigourney Weaver (lmao). She's currently lodged in the second class quarters, although it's mostly only because she received some help from her father. Her father is a business owner in London, though what business is unclear, because Sigourney keeps changing her answer. One day it's candlemaking, another day it's selling insurance. If this inconsistency is brought up, she'll be confused because golly oh gee her memory-addled brain is acting up like hell. She's worked half her life to try and scrounge up money without her father's help, because she doesn't want to have to rely on him and also because she aims to take off without another word after finally making enough to support herself. She doesn't care much about how other people perceive her, and her directness can be somewhat off-putting.
Speaking of her brain acting up, Ripley will not spend the entire time completely memory-wiped. Every so often, she'll experience a memory of her time aboard the Nostromo or on LV-426, causing her to become confused and begin to realize something is amiss. As time goes on, these flashes of memory will become more and more frequent until at the end of the month, when her memory will return to normal.
Sigourney is on the boat to America to reunite with Joan Lambert, her long-time romantic partner. Joan has secured employment for the both of them, and thus her goals are to reach land and disappear from the immediate memory of her relatives. Of course, she's very cagey about this information and will likely not share it unless your character has proven themselves to be trustworthy.
